ARAAC joins the IASEAI affiliate network

We’re delighted to announce that the Australian Responsible Autonomous Agents Collective has joined the International Association for Safe and Ethical AI (IASEAI) as an affiliate organisation. This connects ARAAC to a worldwide community committed to ensuring that AI systems operate safely and ethically.

IASEAI is a global, membership-based nonprofit whose mission is to ensure that AI systems operate safely and ethically, benefiting all of humanity. It connects experts from academia, policy groups, civil society, and industry to accelerate research, inform public opinion, and influence policy across four interconnected areas: community, research, policy, and education. Its global community now spans 2,000 members from 65 countries and more than 130 affiliate organisations.

That mission aligns closely with ARAAC’s own work across multi-objective reinforcement learning, explainability, transparency, and AI safety, drawing on expertise from Federation University, Deakin University, and the University of New South Wales. As an affiliate, we look forward to collaborating with the broader IASEAI network, amplifying our shared impact, and contributing to the global effort to build AI that is both effective and aligned with human interests.

We’re proud to stand alongside the other organisations in the affiliate network and excited about the opportunities this connection brings for our researchers and students.
